“re: ACTIVATE” focuses on raw value in live music and dance performance. Butoh Dancer azumi O E uses her on time composition as a tool to keep the stage as fresh as possible and as real as possible. The stage is filled with playful moments almost like up-rising celebration and mesmerizing shocking intense moments while featuring three experimental provocative musicians.

Ephemeral Collusion is a unique collaborative experimental project series founded in New York 2019.  It aims to investigate the rich spectrum of possibilities from the one time-only performances.

Jason Kahn

Born 1960 in New York, Jason Kahn is a musician, artist and writer. He lives in Zürich.

As an electronic musician, guitarist, vocalist and percussionist Kahn collaborates with many international musicians in the context of free improvised music. He has also composed numerous electro acoustic pieces and graphical scores written for specific groups and musicians. His work can be heard on over two hundred solo, collaborative and compilation releases.

Kahn's installations and interventions have been shown in museums, galleries, art spaces and public sites internationally. These works focus on the idea of space: the conceptual and physical juncture points, its production and dissolution, and our relation to it as a political, social and environmental medium.

Silvan Jeger

Born 1985, lives in Zurich and Berlin. Besides his work as a double bass player, Silvan Jeger also plays the guitar, the electric bass and the cello and performs as a singer. He is broadly interested in Jazz and free improvisation, in music for theater pieces as well as in experimental pop and ambient music. Currently he is part of „DAY&TAXI“ and the „Reto Suhner quartet” and is co-leading the trio „Uassyn“. Furthermore, Jeger is performing as „Kingdom Behauptung“, an experimental pop-project/lecture-performance and releases solo recordings under the name of „publish/perish“.

Frantz Loriot

French-Japanese violist Frantz Loriot performs solo and is active in a number of international ensembles, mainly based on improvised music practices. He has contributed to interdisciplinary projects related to dance, image, theatre and poetry, and various installations.

After having lived in Paris and New York City, Frantz Loriot now resides in Zürich (Switzerland).

azumi O E

The raw value of live performance is what fuels Butoh dancer azumi O E. Mesmerizing, shocking and playful movement is choreographed with meticulous timing, conspiring a visual relationship between the inner and outer human dimensions. Azumi wields her physical form as an expression and exploration of full individuality rooted by the notion of collective oneness. Following eight years with New York-based Butoh company Vangeline Theatre and as Assistant Choreographer/Principal Dancer for Butoh Master Katsura Kan, azumi O E makes a continuous effort to exceed artistic constructs. She regularly develops experimental projects through solo pieces and collaborations with artists of various mediums. Notable co-operative works span video art and live performance with contemporary visual artist Katja Loher; composer Takuya Nakamura, “Impulsive Instrument” with Sean Ali, Film Director Nicholas Motyca; new duo project with Tim Dahl.
