The PLANKTON MANIFESTO team is diving into the production of new video-sculptures, which are conceptually and physically inspired by plankton. This new series of vide-video-sculptures shall raise awareness of the importance of plankton in the context of climate change and ocean preservation.
Plankton sustains the ocean eco-systems, serving as the basis of the marine food chain and produce a similar amount of oxygen as all of the world’s forests combined. Also, they influence carbon export to deeper ocean waters through manyfold ecological and physical processes.
